Are You Letting This One Thing Trip You Up? Please Let Me Stop You!

Letting this one thing trip you up? Please let me stop you!

A few months ago I was getting excited about the idea of making a difference in the lives of young people. Thinking about the messages that I’d like to share with them, I couldn’t stop thinking about this one message I kept hearing – “follow your passion, start with why, live by your highest values.”

So many people I admire, who are super successful in what they do are spreading this message in one form or another. So I thought this must be an important thing to share!

But lately I’ve realised following your passion is not all it’s cracked up to be…

Willpower is a Lie and Here's Why!

A few weeks ago a friend asked me…

“How can I get more willpower? You know how some people have so much and other’s don’t?”

The Trick for When All You Hear is Winge, Winge, Winge!

The Trick for When All You Hear is Winge, Winge, Winge!

The Trick When All You Hear is Winge, Winge, WInge

A few months back, I was due to catch up with someone who is super important to me and I was dreading it a little bit…

Normally our initial interactions are interesting, friendly and warm, but after about 30 minutes to an hour in it gets super negative and I’m drowning, gasping for air, trying to get outta there!

By the time we’re done I’m so drained I don’t feel like doing anything at all.

I start blaming them…and thinking how important it is to surround oneself with the right people. After all you are supposedly…

The average of the five people you spend the most time with. – Jim Rohn

Right? So why not get rid of them?

In some cases this would be the perfectly healthy thing to do, when its time to move on, the relationship is no longer serving you.

But what about those people you really care about – the ones you that you can’t or don’t want to rid of completely?

My ‘How to’ Guide to Clear the Fear and Do It Anyway!

My ‘How to’ Guide to Clear the Fear and Do It Anyway!

My How to guide to clear the fear and do it anyway

“What if I’m not smart enough to do this?”

“I’m not sure I have what it takes to succeed, if I try and fail I might disappoint the people I care about most!”

“What if I try my hardest, but fail anyway, I’ll have no one to blame but myself…then what?”

If you’re human and want to grow, try something new or accomplish something you’ve never done before – chances are you’ve struggled with one, all or more of these kinds of thoughts too.

Fear and self-doubt tend to go hand in hand with expansion (i.e., progress or growth).

In other words… fear = progress

Any time you begin to move outside your comfort zone, you’re going to feel discomfort, but know it means you’re progressing. And no matter how accomplished you are or what level you end up playing at in the game of life, you will experience fear! As one of my favourite leaders Nelson Mandela said…

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

If you’re struggling to find the courage to turn progress into success, today’s blog is for you!

You’ll get some awesome insights on how to gain courage and conquer your fears with my 3-Step “f your f’s” method! 😉

Losing Inspiration? Here's how to get it back!

You start out on fire. You’re amped up on life’s limitless possibilities. You could not be more pumped to start your new ________ (course, study, job, relationship, business, etc.)

This is your chance to start afresh, to learn about yourself and to explore the possibilities that life has to offer.

But then it gets hard, you start to feel weighed down and overwhelmed. Everything that began with enthusiasm and energy has now turned into a stressful mess. Your up has turned into your down.

Your drive is dead. Your doubt dominates your thoughts. You can’t help but think…

“Maybe this just isn’t for me?”

Have you heard that before?

I certainly have. This is just your mind and body giving you feedback, and although it may not feel so good right now, it has a purpose. So let me share with you how you can benefit from doubt and get back on purpose!
